We employ over 900 skilled personnel with experience in baggage system design, control systems development, operations, maintenance and general airport-based baggage services. Airside Solutions
Babcock works in partnership with customers to ensure that their fleet of vehicles and specialist equipment is available 24 hours a day, every day.
As fleet management specialists, we specify and buy a range of ground support equipment on our customer's behalf, standardising the range of vehicles utilised and consolidating buying power. This approach means vehicles cost less to buy, maintain and operate.
Our bespoke solution optimises the use of assets, delivers value for money and enables our customers to focus on meeting their day to day operational requirements.
Through comprehensive fleet management contracts with British Airways and BAA, we manage and maintain over 3,000 assets - ranging from passenger buses and scissor lifts, to 70-tonne aircraft pushback tractors - ensuring they are available when and where they are needed.
Maintenance of the fleet is provided by Babcock at airside workshops at Heathrow, Gatwick, and Edinburgh where our skilled engineers provide preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs.
