With the capability to be a one-stop shop for all the elements
required for the successful installation, commissioning and
integration of a mobile communications network we are able to save
our customers time and expense in sourcing their solutions. We can
also provide on-going operational support activities helping to
ensure the optimum performance of a network. All services are
supported by an efficient nationwide storage and logistics service,
ensuring that network equipment is delivered to site both safely
and on time.
Babcock has made significant investment in our pioneering global
content distribution system, which offers our customers the fully
scalable media and converged IP solution they need for distributing
their programmes, all managed from our state-of-the-art Media
Management Centre. Babcock owned and operated global broadcast
infrastructure transmits over 1,000 hours of short-wave and
medium-wave broadcasts every day, linking broadcasters to their
audiences worldwide.
Babcock has more than 80 years' experience of providing services
to the broadcast infrastructure sector. Since it designed and
erected the Alexandra Palace Tower in 1936, which broadcast the
BBC's first public television transmission, Babcock has gained
extensive experience worldwide, offering a significant in-house
resource in high mast broadcast skills for the design,
construction, maintenance and expansion of broadcast network
infrastructure.
